Race For Life In London 2011

Women of London, if the Marathon has inspired you to start running or get involved with fundraising, Race For Life starts on Saturday 7 May with its flagship O2 run.

This female friendly fundraising event is massive all over the UK and involves a lot of pink. But don't let that put you off sponsoring runners or signing your lady self up for a 5k or 10k in the name of someone you know who's been affected by cancer. Sprint, jog, power walk, amble... it truly is the taking part that counts. Race For Life has raised over £362 million for Cancer Research since its humble beginnings with just 680 runners in Battersea Park in 1994.

There are 21 races taking place in London this year - 5k unless otherwise stated:

Men, and those with an aversion to girly pink, please don't feel left out. There are plenty of other ways to help Cancer Research UK that don't involve bunny ears.
