Another charity event involving a London skyscraper and a knackering number of stairs reaches our attention. This time round, the venue is the Gherkin, and the good cause is raising money for the New Zealand Earthquake Appeal.
The event — Step Up 4 Christchurch — takes place on 22 May. Entry is £25 per adult or £10 for a child. A lift pass can also be bought for £30. (Although, of course, you'll also be expected to fundraise.)
Proceeds will go towards rebuilding parts of Christchurch, hit by a powerful quake on 22 February, and helping the bereaved and stricken.
Participants in the event will have to tackle 1,037 steps and 38 floors to savour those spectacular views from the Gherkin's domed summit.
