Today: Crystal Palace Beer Festival @ The Grape and Grain

Rather than drinking your way through our pub crawl from Surrey Quays to Highbury today, would you prefer to drink your way around the fabulous line up of ale and cider at the Crystal Palace beer festival in the Grape and Grain pub?

Browsing the impressive menu with more than 30 ales and ciders from across the UK we particularly wish to sample some Kissingate Old Tale Porter, Artbrew Spanked Monkey, Orkney Skullsplitter and Big Tree Walking Gingerly cider. And that's mainly for the names. The menu had us dribbling with some of its truly delicious and intriguing taste descriptions.

Crystal Palace Community Choir will be serenading drinkers today from 3pm and the CAMRA South East London Pub of the Year award will be presented to the host pub at 8pm. A tribute to Sinatra will sing you into the night.

The Grape and Grain is on Anerley Hill, London SE19 2AA. The Beer Festival continues through the weekend and finishes on Monday night.
