We wouldn't normally flag up something as blatantly commercial and touristy as a vouchers book (not without demanding some kind of advertising fee, anyway). But this little volume of offers turns out to be a pretty decent acquisition, and one we're happy to recommend.
The book contains 2 for 1, or 50% off, offers on eighty London attractions, restaurants and other venues. Yes, some of it is more suited to tourists (The Clink, Ripley's, Grease). But the vast majority of deals will appeal to everyday Londoners. Our pick of the highlights:
2 for 1 on main courses at Camden's newish South African restaurant Shaka Zulu.
2 for 1 entry to the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising
2 for 1 champagne breakfast at St Pancras Grand
And 77 more. Perhaps the highlight for Londoners is the collection of offers for obscure, little-known museums. The half-price offers may be just the fillip you need to visit the Cartoon Museum, the London Motor Museum or Brentford's Musical Museum.
The book costs £14.95 but you'll save that on just one of the more up-market meal vouchers. In total, the book contains around £1100 worth of deals.
