Award-winning theatre company, Analogue, created a furore with Beachy Head at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival, and through February and March, after two years’ revision and with a fresh cast, they will be taking the show on a tour of the UK (and, er, Switzerland). The South-East based company, which boasts a Fringe First and the Arches Brick Award, will be gracing London with but five performances and you can catch them at Highgate’s Jackson’s Lane on 9-12 February.
Inspired by Britain’s most popular suicide spot, Beachy Head explores the consequences of one man’s suicide and the effects it has on those he leaves behind. Fusing a variety of art disciplines including 3D animation, original music, object manipulation, text-based and physical performance (for a teaser, see their promotional trailer), Beachy Head promises to be original, exciting and visually stunning.
Beachy Head runs from 9-12 February at Jackson’s Lane 269a Archway Road, Highgate, London N6 5AA
