Barnet People Protest Against Council Cuts

Around 2000 people turned out on Sunday to march through Barnet protesting against local council cuts.

The march finished at under threat Artsdepot for a benefit gig - Rock Against the Cuts - organised by Barnet Eye's Rog T. The borough's museums, library, sheltered housing wardens and child care services are also under threat from the Tory led Council.

People power will drive further protests this Saturday on the save Barnet's library campaign, as part of the nationwide day of action to save libraries.

When they say cut back, Barnet says bite back....
