A free party at Rich Mix tonight launches a new street art project that will unfold both on their Facebook wall and actual wall.
Emerging artists are invited to compete to win a commission to paint the Rich Mix event space wall. The Wall Project is sponsored by Havana Club and entries must interpret the "true values of Havana". Two winners will be selected to adorn the wall to coincide with new season launches on Saturday May 7th and Friday 2nd September.
Established urban artist Remi/Rough has had first go on the wall and his work will be on show tonight. Live "Cuban fusion" music comes from Katy and the Mamboleros and the London Lucumi Choir.
The party is tonight at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6LA. 7pm – Late
Competition entries are submitted by e-mail to [email protected], a selection will be posted on the Havana Club UK and Rich Mix facebook page to invite public feedback and final judging will be made by a panel led by Remi/Rough.
Entries must be submitted by:
March 7th - with the winning wall design on show from May to July 2011 / OR /
July 2nd - with the winning wall design on show from July to September 2011
