We always like it when good things comes out of bad and the Renaissance photography competition is just one of those things.
The brainchild of Fiona Gifford, a 38-year-old lawyer who was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago, the competition was set up as her way of giving something back to the Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care
This international competition, now in its fourth year with over £100,000 raised so far, is open to both amateur and more serious photographers and entries can be submitted up until January 17th . The competition will be judged by such photographic luminaries as Michael Hoppen and Brian Aris and there's £6,000 worth of prizes to be won and a chance to be exhibited in the Mall Galleries.
