Write Queer London Competition & Workshops

Write Queer London The third Write Queer London competition is now open for submissions of fact, fiction or poetry about the history of gay lives in London.

If you need inspiration Untold London have organised some free writing workshops, including an event based on the Yokel's Preceptor - a guide to cruising Victorian gay London at the British Library - and a crash course in the whole-of-gay-history-in-about-an-hour at the British Museum with Egyptology curator Richard Parkinson. There's even a chance to have a creative rifle round the London Metropolitan Archives and to explore the Museum of London with like minded writers.

You can also join the Facebook group to see who else is taking part.

The competition deadline is 18 January 2011 so plenty of time to work on your words. Winners will be announced at a party on Valentine's Day at the Museum of London.
