Tache Up London For Movember

Sixteen days into Movember - the month of moustache growing in aid of the Prostate Cancer Charity - we're weighing in to support all the hair-sprouting upper lips out there by Taching Up London.

We thought it would be fun to resurrect our old Touch Up London series (in which people distort photos of the capital to humorous effect) and trim it to the theme of Movember. To wit, we're looking for images of the capital with added moustache. You could, for example, draw a lip wig on a famous statue, or apply some facial hair to one of London's buildings. To get you started...

Henry VIII might have thought twice before executing Thomas More, if the saintly statesman had sported a walrus of the magnificent proportions shown here, on his statue in Chelsea.

The art nouveau stylings of Horniman Museum in Forest Hill lend themselves perfectly to a curly, continental tache.

If our efforts have got your touch-up muscles abristle, don't hold back. You don't need any special software - both examples above were done in the free Paint application available on most PCs and took about 2 minutes each (can you tell?!) Remember to use images for which you are the copyright holder. And don't actually draw on any statues or buildings!

The best submission will win a Movember Goodie Bag containing a Movember Cook Book, a Mr & Mrs Smith guide to the UK & Ireland and a Dermalogica skin care pack (there's one for the Mo Bros to keep their skin in good shape when shaving and also one for the Mo Sistas to look after their skin against the odd bristle here and there). Email your submissions to hello@londonist.com before the end of the month.

Rember, all this moustachioed mischief is to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity. Every year nearly 36,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer. Leave off twirling your tache for a mo and find out the facts at www.prostate-cancer.org.uk
