LSE Trading Halt Investigated

royal exchange3.jpg A two-hour shutdown on the Turquoise trading platform at the London Stock Exchange yesterday morning is being investigated by the police and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) as being the work of a possible saboteur. The high-profile outage is the second in a month although the latest incident is being described as 'human error which may have occurred in suspicious circumstances'. We're wondering if helpdesk advice to switch it off and switch it back on again was taken a tad too literally. Photo by jrodmanjr.
