New Banksy In Southwark? We're Not Convinced

Banksy has storyboarded the intro to a new Simpson's episode. That much is old news by today's standards - the video clip has already circumnavigated the Internet thirteen times since breakfast. But the artist's televisual wheeze seems to coincide with a new street piece on The Grange, Southwark. This is the only snap we can find on the web so far. Since the image was taken, the work has reportedly been tagged over by a disrespecting local, and slapped with some kind of council notice. Is it genuine? This one's harder to call than the obvious fakery at the Princess of Wales a few months back. But the style looks somehow less defined than usual, and lacks the wry message normally associated with Banksy's work. If we had to bet, we'd cry foul.
