The Tube network called in sick again today, with another mid-tunnel breakdown. A Victoria Line train got all stroppy between Seven Sisters and Finsbury Park leading to a two-hour wait for 400 passengers followed by a hike along the tracks. Disruption was, needless to say, caused behind the defective train, with three services having to reverse back to stations and offload. The problems come just a day after Jubilee passengers were forced to make a similar subterranean saunter following a breakdown on that line. Meanwhile, a less creaky vision of rail travel can be seen at St Pancras International today, where visitors can inspect a Deutsche Bahn train that may be whisking passengers off to Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Cologne come 2013.
