Delay For Heston Blumenthal's New Restaurant

It's enough to make a foodie weep salty tears: Dinner, the new restaurant by Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Knightsbridge, has had its opening date pushed back into the new year. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal (to give the place its full title) will now open on January 29th 2011, and telephone bookings will be accepted from December 1st, the original opening date. The theme for this new venture is the history of dining, with dishes inspired by recipes dating back to the 16th century, and the Heston name, combined with not unreasonable prices, mean that getting a table will be a challenge. Get those dialling fingers ready for December 1st.
