Keeping with tradition, London's annual mass bike ride undergoes another amendment to its nomenclature but the deal stays the same - cars are banished and cyclists can take to the streets for free.
15km of zone 1 will be high-viz bibbed and marshalled with music, fancy dress and a spot of Chris Hoy. A central circular route takes in the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, Parliament Square, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and the truly novice and nervous can join a guided ride local to them.
A good day to try some of those cycle hire challenges? Probably. Let us know how you get on.
Get on your bike, Sunday 5th September between 9.30am-4.30pm. All the info here.
