Weekend Round-Up
Here's what we've learned this weekend whilst you've all been at church (synagogue/mosque/temple):
WANTED: THIS man in connection with a murder, and THIS man who has absconded from a mental unit.
A teenager
was shot in Hackney yesterday afternoon.
Murder on the Great South West Road: a man has been arrested and charged.
Two men are being questioned in London after suspected parcel bombs were sent to MI6.
Elena, London's oldest and most venerated maitre d', is being forced to retire.
One wonders just how some of our councillors got to be elected: this one in Redbridge is worried that the granting of a park licence will turn it into 'Alton Towers'. Right.
In less gloomy news: an old lock is to be reopened to promote waterborne access to the Olympics.
We are delighted to report that Rock and Roll is just as badly behaved as ever, as demonstrated by a 30 man brawl in Victoria Park.
The organisers of the Notting Hill Carnival are looking for stewards.
All Souls Church, by jakem via the Londonist pool.
