Perseid Meteors Streak Over London Skies

A clear night sky and a new moon meant last night's Perseid meteor shower was visible even from London's light-polluted streets. We were out in our back garden around midnight and managed to see 6 or 7 incredibly bright ones in half an hour... were you lucky? And did you stay up til they really got going, about 3am? If you didn't see anything, they're still burning up in the atmosphere tonight (though the sky may not be as clear) - join the stargazing on Twitter to see if there's anything visible round you.
