Friday and my word, we fancy a pint already. Fortunately, there's a Fortean pub crawl to look forward to. Not that it stops at any of these fine hostelries. Do you agree with Fancyapint's recommendations for August?

Not everyone's cup of tea, we know, but it's a favourite with us.
- The Royal Oak (Borough)
Excellent ales, great food and an easy-going atmosphere.
- The Blackfriar (Blackfriars)
A magnificent one-off. Get there when it's quiet to have a good look round.
- St. George & The Dragon (Acton)
The only reason to visit Acton? It certainly makes the journey worthwhile.
- The Mayflower (Rotherhithe)
History, tradition and a great location.
- Grenadier (Belgravia)
Excellent ales, in leafy Knightsbridge.
- Jolly Butchers (ex Stokie's) (Stoke Newington)
A welcome turnaround for what was once a dire pub.
- The Alexandra (East Finchley)
A good, solid local.
- The Eagle Ale House (Clapham Junction)
Fine ales and a fine time.
- Barley Mow (Marylebone)
A welcome return of an old, old friend.
