Fancy A Pint? Top Ten Pubs For August

Friday and my word, we fancy a pint already. Fortunately, there's a Fortean pub crawl to look forward to. Not that it stops at any of these fine hostelries. Do you agree with Fancyapint's recommendations for August?

- Nag's Head5P_sl.jpg (Knightsbridge)
Not everyone's cup of tea, we know, but it's a favourite with us.

- The Royal Oak5P_sl.jpg (Borough)
Excellent ales, great food and an easy-going atmosphere.

- The Blackfriar4P_sl.jpg (Blackfriars)
A magnificent one-off. Get there when it's quiet to have a good look round.

- St. George & The Dragon5P_sl.jpg (Acton)
The only reason to visit Acton? It certainly makes the journey worthwhile.

- The Mayflower4P_sl.jpg (Rotherhithe)
History, tradition and a great location.

- Grenadier4P_sl.jpg (Belgravia)
Excellent ales, in leafy Knightsbridge.

- Jolly Butchers (ex Stokie's)4P_sl.jpg (Stoke Newington)
A welcome turnaround for what was once a dire pub.

- The Alexandra4P_sl.jpg (East Finchley)
A good, solid local.

- The Eagle Ale House4P_sl.jpg (Clapham Junction)
Fine ales and a fine time.

- Barley Mow3P_sl.jpg (Marylebone)
A welcome return of an old, old friend.
