The 10th annual Carnaval Del Pueblo attracted around 100,000 people to Walworth yesterday, its parade dancing down from Elephant to Burgess Park.

An attempt to break the World Record for simultaneous salsa dancing unfortunately failed, with only 316 couples registered to salsa by 1pm. Which is unsurprising, given most people were out partying on the Walworth Road with the beautiful parade rather than standing in line for the Big Dance Salsa Sequence. Lesson learned: next year they'll smash it for sure.
