The largest Latin American Festival in Europe will attempt to break the Word Record for Salsa dancing this afternoon in Burgess Park. 500 couples are wanted to perform the Big Dance salsa sequence between 1-2pm, to smash the standing record of 451 set in Venezuela. The Carnaval Parade starts at Elephant at midday and makes its way down the Walworth Road to Burgess Park by 3pm. Live music, the Open Salsa Dance Championship and loads of stuff for the kids will fuel the party till 10pm. If you want to join the record attempt, registration is from 10.30am in the park.
