West London Power Cut During Crucial World Cup Match

EDFPowerCut.jpg The England vs. Slovenia match is over now but it was over much earlier for homes in West London this afternoon, as a power cut in Twickenham and Kew covering all postcodes including and between TW1 to TW12 left TVs, PCs, Macs and radios silent and dead. EDF Energy experienced a problem on the high voltage cable network at 3.20pm, just at a most crucial point in the game. The similarity to the other cut that happened in the other England match is uncanny - as the World Cup continues, it may be best to follow all the action on something that runs off a battery, or have yourself blindfolded with earplugs rammed in until the newspapers come out with the results the next day.
