The Amazing Meeting, TAM to its friends, is an annual gathering of rationalists, skeptics, scientists and critical thinkers. If you think that sounds a little dry, and hardly worthy of the 'amazing' epithet, just take a look at the lineup of speakers for this year's TAM London:
Lord High Skeptics Richard Dawkins, James Randi and Simon Singh, are all present and correct, of course. They'll be joined by household names such as Stephen Fry, Tim Minchin, Graham Linehan and Alan Moore. Other notable skeptics include the effortlessly entertaining Richard Wiseman, PZ Myers (the Guido Fawkes of science blogging), novelist and Boing Boing editor Cory Doctorow and 'skepchick' (and sometime Bostonist blogger) Rebecca Watson.
The two day conference runs on the 16-17 October 2010 at the Hilton London Metropole hotel. It'll set you back £208, but considering you're getting two whole days of scintillating discussion, plus the chance to mingle with some of the finest minds on the planet, it's actually quite a bargain.
