Faggot, lady killer, head honcho, diamond geezer, nerd: these are but a smattering of the 1000 words used to describe and define “man” on vivid display as hand-painted panels by artist Rudy de Belgeonne.

Five years in the making, de Belgeonne's encyclopedic Who's the Man exhibition features a wall of words apparently inspired by “all the weird and wonderful names he's been called over the years”. The overall effect is vibrant, provocative, funny and at times ironic. A gaudy patchwork quilt of obscenities, compliments and other verbal ejaculations, Who's the Man opens to the public tomorrow and runs until the 8th of June at the Future Gallery (5 Newport Street). Pop round to see how many words apply to you and/or the men in your life.
