Following reports of Boris' bluster that London would be fully wi-fied for 2012, City providers, The Cloud, are sussing out exactly how this might happen. Seems a tall order to ramp up the square mile coverage and roll out as far as Stratford but given the Mayor made his announcement at a Google conference, perhaps the threat of competition from Google will act as an added incentive to make it work. A decision will have to be made by September to have a hope of meeting the deadline and there's no sign yet where funding may come from.
