Preview: As It Occurs To Me @ Leicester Square Theatre

richherringaiotm2.jpg Get ready to shout 'willies!' because Richard Herring's live, unedited podcast show As It Occurs To Me returns to the Leicester Square Theatre for a second series on Monday.

As before, the podcast will be available to download free after the live event but as the man himself says, "AIOTM's very life blood depends on the people who come down to see the show live..." We concur. Part of the joy of listening to the podcast is hearing what works and what doesn't, listening for the the audience shouting 'AIOTM!' every time it's mentioned, seeing just how much TV's Emma Kennedy's poo and wee stories make people laugh and being in the aural presence of Herring unleashed from all broadcasting constraints. AIOTM is written on Sunday, read through once on Monday then performed live and unedited in the evening. Anything can happen. Be there to witness it.

As an added bonus, this time the live audience will be treated to an exclusive stand up set each week that will not be broadcast on the internet and also get the chance to have a drink with the cast after the show - at which Richard invites you to "say 'Cumpkins' to my actual bored face".

If cumpkins bemuse you, prepare yourself by downloading Series One now and read our review from last year.

AIOTM starts Monday 17 May, 8pm at Leicester Square Theatre, £10. Then Monday 24, 31st May, 7, 14 & 21st June at same venue: buy tickets. Then to the Bloomsbury Theatre 28 June & 5 July, 7.30pm, £15: buy tickets. Find out everything you need to know about Richard Herring at www.richardherring.com
