Sir Keith Park
The statue of Sir Keith Park, which has stood atop Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth since November, has been removed to make way for the next installation. The Standard has a surreal photograph of the New Zealand-born RAF commander's statue, severed at the torso and being craned away. A new, permanent statue of Sir Keith will be unveiled in Waterloo Place later in the year, which will placate all those who wanted him standing tall on the Plinth in perpetuity. Up next for Trafalgar Square: Nelson's Ship In A Bottle, by Yinka Shonibare, which will be unveiled on May 24th.
