Ever been to the Dana Centre round the back of the Science Museum? If not, you really ought to give it a try: inventive events, great speakers, free entry and, which is more, a fully stocked bar inside the event space. They recently announced their summer programme, which includes several tie-ins with big sporting events.
Look out for the science of cycling around the time of the Tour de France, and the science of football during the World Cup. Other highlights include a Dragon's Den-like evening where would-be geoengineers pitch their ideas to an expert panel, how to be a DIY music producer, a scientific view of dreaming, and the reasons we find certain people very attractive. Check out the full programme here.
All events are free, but you're encouraged to book in advance to ensure entry.
