Tonight: SELFS take over the Old Mayfair Carpet Gallery on Borough High Street tonight for the free spring shindig that is Southwark Lore. 6-9pm.

Friday: Will you be tuckerized at tonight's Neither am I book launch? The Cavendish Arms, Stockwell from 8pm. Performance 9.30pm. Free admission.

Critical Mass is doing things a bit different this Friday with a special ride, uniting Southwark Cyclists and Hackney Cyclists, visiting the sites of 3 recent cyclist road deaths by lorry and holding vigils at each. Meet the south side of Waterloo Bridge, 6.30 for 7pm.

Saturday: Still on two wheels, for a leisurely led cycle ride around the Guerilla and Community Gardens (established, emerging and potential) of North Lambeth meet at the Garden Museum at 10.15am. Ends 12.30pm at Oval Farmers Market so you can do your shopping too.

Sunday: Today is Frog Day. Yep. At Camley Street Natural Park N1, Centre for Wildlife Gardening SE15 and East Reservoir Community Garden N4 it's all about the froggies. 10am-4pm, free.

Be part of a "joy explosion" at a free party to celebrate the arrival of spring and the launch of new London social enterprise ‘lifebulb’. Laugh out loud with laughter yoga, make Swedish waffles, paint a pot and plant spring bulbs at the Good Ship, Kilburn. From 2-5pm, all welcome.

Monday: Examine the politics of Pushkin with Professor Robert Chandler at the Marx Memorial Library in Clerkenwell. 6.30pm, £1.

Tuesday: Get a dose of proper old school blues, "greased-up, jumpin, swingin’, shufflin’, harp-blastin’ good-time blues" at Charlotte Street Blues. Free entry.

Wednesday: Up to a dozen fresh faced comedy folks take to the stage at the lovely Pangea Project for Party Piece, tonight from 7.30pm. Free entry
