Taking a glance at upcoming family-friendly Easter activities in London. Please only continue reading if accompanied by child.

Egg Hunts: Embrace your inner scavenger and select your (candy-coated) prey of choice. For a more classic egg hunt, head to the Museum of Childhood for the Bunny Bounce Trail. Kids aged 3-8 (accompanied by an adult, of course) can help the Easter Bunny locate his buddies who seem to have gotten lost around the museum. If you succeed you may just win a giant chocolate egg. The hunt takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:30, 11:15, and 12:00 and is free.

The London Wetland Centre will be hosting a variety of Easter themed activities between April 2-18 (come rain or shine!), including Easter egg hunts, a Duck Decoy game, puppeteering, and duckling demonstrations. Newly hatched ducklings will be strutting their stuff around a paddling pool every day (except April 2 and 14) at noon.

Not all too keen about hunting eggs? The London Bridge Experience is offering an Easter Head Hunt. Search for severed heads around the attraction with the chance of winning an 'eggstra special reward' (ouch). The hunt takes place April 1-18, prizes only available April 4-6. Suitable for all ages. Or visit HMS Belfast for a rat hunt, which runs from April 2-18.

Bunnies, Arts & Crafts, and Chocolate: Under 5s can create a chocolate Easter egg creature in a workshop at the Museum of London Docklands on April 5 at 11:00, 12:00, and 14:00. The museum is also hosting a chocolate tasting on April 9 at 12:30 and 14:30

The Easter Bunny will be gallivanting around the woods of Orlean House Gallery April 8 between 14:00-15:30. Help catch him and participate in art activities. The event is suitable for children 8 and under. Tickets are £8.50 per child, advance booking required.

On April 11 stop by the London Zoo for an Easter-themed sing-along with Lee Meed (of BBC's Any Dream Will Do). The sing-along, which will feature songs from the CBeebies' show 3rd & Bird, is for kids aged 2-5. Booking is free with a Zoo admission ticket but should be done in advance. E-mail singlikeabird at feverpr dot com to reserve your place.

Other Activities: Still looking for something fun to do but not really into the whole Easter thing? Starting April 2 (and running through the 19th) kids go free at Kew Palace. The Natural History Museum is doing a talk on the natural history of Easter Island April 2 at 12:30-13:00 and again at 14:30-15:00. The Museum of London is also hosting a series of fun events, including a viewing of My Fair Lady at 14:00 on April 4 as well as hat and puppet making workshops over the course of Easter weekend. See the full schedule here.
