The Curiosities of the Egyptian Hall, Between Isis and Osiris (Radio 4, 15.30-15.45) Short piece about the Egyptian Hall on Piccadilly, whose exhibition of paintings by Benjamin Robert Haydon was overshadowed by the arrival of Tom Thumb.

Send In The Dogs (ITV1, 20.00-21.00) Following the Metropolitan Police's dog unit around the streets of London.

Wednesday

The Curiosities of the Egyptian Hall, The Great Mephisto! (Radio 4, 15.30-15.45) Today's tale concerns a young Punjabi illusionist who performed at the Piccadilly venue.

Thursday

The Curiosities of the Egyptian Hall, Curious Shadows (Radio 4, 15.30-15.45) Early film-makers exhibit at the Hall, but murder is afoot.

Saturday

Brannigan (FIVE, 17.45-19.50) Classic John Wayne caper in which a Chicago cop teams up with Scotland Yard and ends up doing this.

Sunday

Children of Men (ITV1, 22.15-00.10) It's 2027, no one can have babies so instead they smash up London quite a bit.
