Live Music Preview: Scanners @ 93 Feet East

Tonight the London-based rock outfit, Scanners, will be bringing their melodic, yet bittersweet indie music to 93 Feet St East. Scanners, who are signed to the US independent label, Dim Mak (Steve Aoki), have been working hard over the last few years touring with the likes of The Horrors, The Wedding Present, and The Charlatans.

Although they have been slower to establish themselves here in the UK, Scanners have been creating a huge buzz across the pond over the past few years. They have appeared on Last Call with Carson Daly, and have had their music featured in a number of US TV shows including Entourage.

Formed by Matt Mole (guitar, vocals, synths) and Sarah Daly (vocals, bass, violin), with the later addition of Amina (guitar, keys) and Tom (drums), Scanners are an eerily melodic band that are making quite the name for themselves with their powerful female led vocals and garage rock undertones.

If Salvation, the haunting first single off their sophomore album Submarine, says anything about the direction this band is taking on their upcoming album, they will certainly be ones to look out for in 2010.

Wednesday December 2nd, 93 Feet East from 7:30, with tickets available in advance here for £6 or £7 on the door.
