Boris Looks to Make London Electric Car Capital of Europe

electric car1.jpg In an effort to remove London from the EU's naughty list of climate change offenders, Boris has developed a new strategy to deliver 100,000 electric cars to London. 25,000 charging points would appear by 2015 and TfL will have a website dedicated to electric vehicle drivers by next year. However, the Mayor has been accused of going 'backwards' on climate change by overlooking short term benefits in favour of ambitious long term goals. Although electric vehicles would make for greener driving, other aspects of the plan would reduce general driving costs and increase public transport fares. (Image/Herschell_Hershey)
