Weekend Round-Up

Here's what we've learned this weekend whilst you've been going whizz and bang:

  • Muggers reach a new low by punching a baby in Wembley.
  • And Camden reaches a new low by bribing punters to shop there.
  • Croydon's Mayday Hospital is to provide a drop-in centre for war veterans.
  • Londoner Rachel Christie has been deposed as Miss England after getting involved in a catfight.
  • Police drivers are told to use cheaper fuel to save money.
  • Hell's own security guard, by bltpicons via the Londonist pool.

The baby bashing in Wembley - not good, a friend of mine was pushing her 8 month old son in his pushchair in Camden a few years ago now and was mugged, as she couldn't offer any money or mobile (having neither on her), the pair of muggers pushed the pushchair down the steps of a subway. The baby is now 12 and mentally is still la baby due to brain damage on that night. No one was ever caught for it.

That's terrible, cobo04. What on earth, if anything, runs through the minds of these sick thugs? Beggars belief.
