Water Main Burst Out West

flood.jpg As if out of sympathy for our friends in the north currently dealing with floods, a water main has burst in west London, driving about 20 people out of their homes early this morning. The affected area is close to Goldhawk Road tube station - drivers should avoid the area as this is a case of “severe flooding” and roads will be closed as Thames Water tries to fix the ruptured pipe at the junction between Stamford Brook Road and Goldhawk Road. According to reports, the pipe burst at about 4.00am this morning, a most unpleasant time to have to bail oneself out of bed and get to dry land. Wade carefully if you’re in the area - it’s wet out there.
