Preview: The Peckham Literary Festival 16th - 21st November

PLF.flier.jpg We like FREE STUFF, and so it's kind of a pleasure to preview the third annual PLF. Because it consists of a whole week of free events. In Peckham.

As in previous years, most of the action is at Review bookshop and Persepolis, our favourite silly yellow corner shop. But this year Peckham Library joins in with a Children's Literature Festival, and there is an opportunity to check out an exhibition of book illustrations at Flat Time House.

Highlights include:

  • London's newest literary cult-in-the-making, the Neither am I collective
  • More Miles than Money: a evening of travel, chat, and improvised musicthe promise of Breakfast with Socrates (even though it's at tea-time)
  • our favourite story-teller, Sally Pomme Clayton, weaving her magic once again
  • You can also expect an Iranian film night, South Bank poets, readings, signings, launches...and if you look very carefully you might even spot Londonist friend and South London ghost buster Chris Roberts, who has just had a book of Lost English published.

It may be free, but it gets busy - so if you want to go along to any of the events, BOOK.
