Preview: Fashion Diversity @ Museum of London

FD_2.jpg If you haven't managed to get to any of the London Fashion Week events, or if you're miffed that the closed catwalk schedule won't give you access to the front row of the Matthew Williamson show, then head down to the Museum of London this weekend for the Fashion Diversity shows. Showcasing the best of promising young designers from London, honorary awards will go to three fashion houses - Gisella Boutique, Junky Styling & Nico Didonna. Straight from the streets of Peckham, Spitalfields and Soho, these designers have carved their mark within very different areas of the fashion industry. Seven more designers, both established and emerging, will display their work on the catwalk.

Another show features student and graduate designers from schools and colleges across London, with collections influenced by the brief of 18th century pleasure gardens and related costumes in the Museum of London's own stores.

Emerging, Established and Honorary Designers takes place on Friday at 1 - 1.45 pm & 3 - 3.45 pm, and on Saturday at 1 - 1.45 pm. The student show will be held on Saturday at 3 - 3.45 pm. All shows are FREE to get in.

Fashion Diversity events also include a series of fashion-related workshops. Find out more on the Museum of London's website.
