Live Overhead Cable Collapses at St Pancras International

eurostar1.jpg The collapse of a high voltage cable at the Eurostar's Platform No. 9 yesterday evening sparked some rather irritating chaos. Passengers from the 5:13pm train scrambled from the train in order to avoid the flailing and highly dangerous cable. Thankfully, no one was hurt and trains were up and running again by 9:30pm. Passengers aboard other Eurostar trains were clearly exasperated by the fact that they would have to miss rental car reservations, as well as train and plane connections, and would only receive a one way ticket to Paris as compensation. An investigation has been launched to determine why the cable collapsed. (Image by tezzer57)
