Our love for independent bookshops knows no bounds, so we skipped off with a light heart to a new exhibition at Biblion (a rare and secondhand bookshop in Mayfair; we'll be back in a few weeks). London photographer Mike Tsang specialises in portrait and documentary shots and has had a wander round the city's antiquarian book dealers for this collection.

It's a small exhibition but well worth a peek if you're around Bond Street. The photos are so evocative of that wonderfully warm sense of peace you find in proper, traditional bookshops (all dark wood and old bindings), but also beautifully capture the striking differences in the personalities of the dealers - and the way that's reflected in their surroundings. Some are stood next to perfect, neat shelves while others are almost hidden behind tottering stacks. (There's also a portfolio of unframed prints where you can see some of Londonist's old friends.)

A Selection of London Booksellers runs at the Biblion Mayfair bookshop until 7 November, Grays Antiques Market, Davies Mews, W1K 5AB. All images copyright Mike Tsang.
