CyclePoint would combine secure storage space for 1000 bikes in a staffed facility with a cycle and repair shop. Estimated costs to park there are as little as 75p per day, potentially integrated with the Oystercard system. A concept imported from the Netherlands, it was designed to encourage people to take trains by providing accommodating their ubiquitous bicycles. There's already a CyclePoint lined up for Leeds station due to open in 2010. Sexy (in transport terms) it certainly is. But would CyclePoint help you get on your bike in London? Is Paddington the right place for it? Tell us what you think in the comments.
