London Word Festival Breaks Through

Brilliant news: The London Word Festival is a fixture for a few years more. At just a tottering two years old they've won a pot of gold that will see them able to develop the festival over the next three years. As one of only five recipients of an award from the Paul Hamlyn Breakthrough Fund, Sam, Tom and Marie will now be able to worry less about what happens if a guitar string breaks in sound check and more about their overall artistic ambitions for their eclectic poetic programming. As award-winning "cultural entrepreneurs" they can continue to push the boundaries of words in performance across art-forms in some of the funkiest venues in East London.
