Farmyard Frolics With Added Fleece

An unfortunate sheep at Mudchute Farm by Dean Nicholas. Sheeplift at your own risk.
This Sunday, knitters and wannabe knitters can clack their needles in the company of rare breed sheep and learn how the yarn they cast on makes it all the way from the back of the flock at Spitalfields City Farm's annual Sheep and Wool Fayre.

And it's not all knitting - stick a wager on which beast will win the Spitalfields Sheep Stakes. Will it be "greedy but out of condition Pants or one of the flighty north ronaldsays; who will stop off en-route to grab a bite of grass"? Yep, livestock racing is the new fun.

Stitch and Bitch London want knitty volunteers to help demonstrate and coach the crafty side of things. Those with no needles we recommend you go for the cake and to photograph the winning bleater romp home. The Sheep and Wool Fayre is on Sunday 24 May, 12-4 at Spitalfields City Farm.
