  • Gothamist observed the intense reaction to two very different things—a public art project involving knitting and a woman's unfortunate encounter of with a subway pervert.
  • Londonist, feeling distinctly peckish, enjoyed a gourmet breakfast, the "best pizza outside of Italy", a Brick Lane curry and some bathtub-cooked salmon.

  • Phillyist was pleased by the announcement of the colors, logo, and name for Philadelphia's new MLS team: the Union.

  • Shanghaiist brushed our teeth with WHITEMEN toothpaste, a racial alternative to the Darlie/Darkie toothpaste that's been floating around for years.

  • Seattlest crunched the numbers to see if it was really true that it's cheaper to fly from NYC to Seattle to see the Yankees play than pony up for first class at the New Yankee Stadium.

  • Houstonist was stunned when Roger Clemens emailed them, saying "I

welcome the chance to answer the questions of your readers."

  • Chicagoist focused on Wilco, taking a sneak peek at the band's new LP, Wilco (The Album).

  • Torontoist provided live coverage of—and plenty of on-the-scene photos from— a massive protest by Toronto's Tamil community that took over a major downtown expressway Sunday, in protest of Sri Lanka's ongoing civil war. The protest, which came after the protesters camped out on another major city road for much of the previous week, was met with an anti-protest in the skies, and ambivalence.

  • LAist wondered if its city had the best burritos.

  • SFist also wondered if its city had the best burritos.
