Three intrepid cyclists left City Hall yesterday in a bid to cycle round the world - powered by the sun (and their legs). The SolarCycle team - Susie Wheeldon and Iain Henderson, both from London, and Jamie Vining - are making the 12,000 mile trip to raise funds for Solar Aid, and also to demonstrate the viability of solar technology. Boris Johnson was on hand to inspect their kit and wave them off. Keep up with their progress on their blog.
