Absurd Choice for London's Best Restaurant

2105.camus.jpg This Londonista didn't actually know of l'Etranger (as in the Kensington Restaurant) until today. Not obvious table fellows, a dark 'existentialist' novel and a cutting edge, minimalist Franco-Japanese eatery - what a fun combination. Algerian owner Ibi Issolah clearly has a sense of humour: if what matters is 'the most living', what better way to spend it than gourmet dining? And it does seem that (unusually for themed restaurants) the food is as good as the concept: it has been voted London's top restaurant by Which? Good Food Guide. We gotta start saving our pocket money.

Albert Camus would have made a great blogger, non? Image by BrentDPayne under the Creative Commons Licence for commercial work.
