Preview: Sohostreets At Soho Theatre

foyer.jpg Soho Theatre is 40 years old this year! And to mark the big occasion, they're taking us on a walk... Last time they did this, we rediscovered the magic of Chinatown in Moonwalking , and so we have high hopes for Sohostreets which promises to lead us through 40 years of Soho history, right on the streets where they happened.

Audiences will be split into four groups and taken on four separate routes that occasionally collide, pass each other and maybe interact. Expect to be thrown into intimate family secrets, moments of national historical significance and a few confused tourists who might try to tag along thinking it's a free guided walk. And it really is a walk, if we recall Moonwalking correctly; comfortable shoes and an umbrella for those pesky April showers would be sensible.

Londonist readers can book £10 tickets for either the 6.15pm or 8pm performances on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April. All you have to do to get this special price is quote 'Londonist' if booking by phone (box office 020 7478 0100) or select the £10 price band on the online booking system. But don't dither - it's a necessarily small capacity show (have you tried moving a group of 20+ people through Soho?) so book quickly to guarantee a ticket - for £10.

Sohostreets at Soho Theatre, 22 April to 2 May. For more information and to book tickets, go to the Soho Theatre website.
