Ballet Boys Back In Town

Feuding eighties New Romantics Spandau Ballet are all set to hit the comeback stage. The boys are playing at an event on HMS Belfast today, where they are expected to announce their reunion with a tour of the UK and Europe. Yes, it’s ‘True’, Duran Duran’s rivals for the hearts of millions of teenage girls have buried the hatchet, put their TV, shop-opening and stage careers on hold and plan to strut their frilly-shirted stuff once again. ‘Obviously there'll be all the hits, the nostalgia, but there will also be a new take on what Spandau Ballet are about,’ singer Tony Hadley said in an interview. We're wondering if they plan to go all Eastenders on us and have a right old Cockney knees-up around the joanna. Or maybe some nifty dance routines a la the New Kids on the Block reunion tour? Whatever the 'new take' is, we'll get 'Through the Barricades' for this 'Gold' tour. Let’s hope ‘Communication’ doesn’t let us down and we can score some tickets.
