Nothing to do with Dr Who, alas. Tonight's Big Ideas session in the Wheatsheaf (Rathbone Place) tackles the redevelopment of run-down areas. The format sounds juicy:
Sessions generally start with a question. Someone who has some relevant expertise gives a very brief, informal talk. After that a discussion develops in a free and unstructured manner. It's not a lecture, and it's not a debate; it's a pub argument, but unlike any you've had before.
Tonight's expert is Robert Kingham, of commercial property consultancy Drivers Jonas. If you get your knickers in a twist whenever you pass through Spitalfields Market, or you just wish they'd hurry up with Elephant and Castle, head over for an 8pm start.
Big Ideas are upstairs at the Wheatsheaf, 25 Rathbone Place. Doors open from 7.30pm and entry is free.
