Whoa! Bea’s of Bloomsbury (one of our favourite spots for cupcakes and other baked goods) recently wowed us with a scrummy lunch. We dropped in last week for a sample and can’t get over how delicious their crab chowder was: nice and creamy with good chunky bits of crab and just a touch of spicy heat. Bea’s roasted endive salad with (ample amounts of) bacon, gorgonzola and candied walnuts worked wonders on our taste buds too. Given that our visit was during one of these gorgeous sunny afternoons (ahh yes like today!), we took it as an opportunity to saunter across Theobald’s Road for an al fresco tasting in the spacious and pleasant green of Gray’s Inn - a midday treat we’ll be sure to do again! For a filling (we had no need for supper later that evening!) and quality lunch for under £10 or takeaway dinner with equal parts upscale and downhome flavour, keep Bea’s in mind.
Visit the Bea’s of Bloombury website for daily updates of their delicious menu.
