Unchained Mini-guide To Broadway Market

There's a great little stretch of sheer awesomeness between London Fields and Regents Canal called Broadway Market. This is where Hackney's sandal wearing, cheese loving, shabby chicsters wash away their Friday night hangovers with sips of Fairtrade coffee. And when the sun's out, the children are laughing, the friends meeting and the food cooking, you can't help but think this is the way the world is supposed to be - ahhh. The stalls are there on Saturdays from 9 til 5 with trinkets, traditional and artisan foods and a whole world of vintage goodness. There's more than enough to keep you occupied for a decent few hours of quality mooching and that's largely thanks to the rather fabulous selection of Unchained shops lining the street. We've chosen our favourite six:

Art Vinyl - turn your favourite music into your favourite art

Broadway Bookshop - small but perfectly formed book shop

Fabrications - gallery, shop and studio, this place is heaven for style conscious eco warriors

L'eau à la Bouche - Fine classic foods carefully chosen from the continent and UK. Nom, nom!

Off Broadway - photography fanatics

Rebel Rebel - filled to the brim with gorgeous flowers.
