Hofesh Shecter retains the title of most hyped choreographer around, following on from his tri-venue, escalating commission of "In Your Room" last year. The double bill of that plus the winning testosterone fest of "Uprising" hits the Roundhouse this weekend in a jubilant Director's Cut with live music and doubtless many adoring fans. Just a couple of weeks later, however, a different aspect of his work will be premiering, starring two young Ethiopian dancers - Junaid and Addisu - taking them from the streets of Addis Ababa to the main stage of Sadler's Wells. Remember what he did with the kids in Skins? Let's hope this is just as hot.

Also on the bill is a new work by the brilliant Russell Maliphant who you can also catch (probably by return tickets only) premiering a new piece with the goddess, Sylvie Guillem, at Sadlers (26 Feb - 8 March). For Destino, Maliphant has created a solo and duet for Junaid and Addisu. His strong, fluid, almost capoeria-esque choreography is sure to be gripping for this group of 6 dancers.

Finally, in a euphoric finish, 120 kids from Islington and East London will take to the stage in a new group work by Dance United, accompanied by the National Youth Orchestra. If they're ready in time, that is. Catch clips of the kids trying to explain what choreography is and see how rehearsals are going on the Sadlers Wells website.

Catch the UK premiere of Destino on Thursday 12 & Friday 13 March 2009 at 7.30pm (matinee Friday, 1.30pm) tickets just £10. Book tickets online or call 0844 412 4300.
